About the Centre

Get a touch of the true Irish spirit by discovering Ireland’s beautiful nature and colourful history on our guided riding holidays.

Our guided post to post Galway Clare Burren trail ride takes the rider through a beautiful variety of rural Irish countryside in the course of a week – from the rugged beauty of the Slieve Aughty Mountains at the river Shannon all the way to the wild Atlantic way. The daily 5 hour rides run through heather covered bog land, along quiet country lanes, on forest tracks, through the world famous Burren National park and finish along the wild Atlantic way overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The uniqueness of this trail ride lies in the fact that our route winds its way day by day through new countryside and the horses stay each night in a different field.

Our Irish Castle and Monastic ruin ride offers the unique combination of guided half day rides and organised sight-seeing trips for all level of riders. This is the perfect balance between horseriding and visiting historic Ireland – without the need of a rental car.

The An Sibin residential ride is a back-to- nature experience like no other. We offer a combination of basic arena work, horsemanship introduction and guided hacks on many miles of riding tracks through our beautiful rugged countryside.

About The Horses

The Irish horse is renowned for its stamina, versatility and gentleness and will provide an ideal companion for an unforgettable horse riding vacation. We have a lovely herd of horses with many proud examples of several typical Irish breeds such as the tall but gentle Irish Draught, the lively and clever Connemara, the fine and energetic Irish Hunter, the beautifully coloured and surefooted Piebald and the intelligent and comfortable Irish Cob.

Many of our horses are born and bred in our An Sibin riding centre. Each year some new foals join the growing herd. They are specifically trained by us to become the willing, safe and surefooted trail horses they are – really the perfect mount for a weeklong riding holiday.

About the Facilities and Accommodation

The heart of our An Sibin Riding centre is a 300 year-old lovingly restored traditional stone farmhouse. It is nestled in rolling hills in the very rural West of Ireland. Our comfortable accommodations with individually decorated ensuite rooms in a unique old world setting are gently matched with all modern facilities.

All our packages include the guided riding, the comfortable accommodation and full Irish breakfast, tasty lunch snack and deliciously home cooked dinner by the turf fire.

This is truly a country idyll, perfect for getting away from it all!

With our weeklong Galway Clare Burren trail ride, our 4-day Irish Castle + Monastic ruin ride and our 1 to 7 day An Sibin residential ride, we offer a great variety of horseback riding vacations for all riding levels.
