About the Centre

If you are looking for the perfect equestrian holiday destination Mullingar International Equestrian Centre is the ideal location. The family run centre caters for un-accompanied young riders, families and adult groups. Our excellent facilities, quality horses, experienced staff and on site accommodation create that unique package which attracts guests annually from across the globe. We welcome all levels of riders to partake in a progressive programme of flatwork, show jumping , cross country and leisure riding in a friendly and relaxed environment .

About the Activities

For over 15 years during the summer months, we specialise in Young Rider Residential Holidays which caters for un-accompanied horse loving 10 to 18 year olds (and 19 to 22 year olds ). This action packed programme combines riding tuition (15 hours) with English language course (15 hours), on site shows and supervised evening activities. We also run weekly intensive high performance show jumping clinics in June and August.

Directions to Centre

Mullingar Equestrian Centre is approximately 1 hour from Dublin city and airport. We are situated on the L1137, Athlone road (R390 ) about 2 kms west of Mullingar.

If you are travelling from Dublin make sure that you stay on the M4 ( For Sligo ) in Kinnegad From Dublin: As one approaches Mullingar take the 3rd Exit off the N4 on the Mullingar by pass ( Castle pollard /Town Centre exit ) follow the directions for town centre and at the hospital follow signs for Athlone ( R390) .

From Sligo /Longford: Take the 1 st exit ( Exit 11) into Mullingar town , take a right for Mullingar and follow the signs for Athlone ( R390)from the hospital.

From Kilbeggan: Take the M6 motorway towards Dublin for about 7 kms, turning off at the Tyrellspass /Mullingar exit ( N 52), and follow signs into Mullingar . At the first roundabout outside Mullingar take the first left signed Rochfortbridge / Mullingar ( R 400), and travel into Mullingar . At the Texaco/ Dalys garage roundabout take a left, travel down through the Business park for about 2 miles and head for the Athlone road(R390).
