Description

The South East of Ireland is comprised of the counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.

The region is distinctively different and possesses a landscape history, culture and character undeniably their own. Its uniqueness is built around some of its early visitors from across the seas- the Celts, Vikings and Normans who came, conquer and stayed. Each of them have left lasting footprints of their presence in the castles and abbeys, villages and settlements, along the river valleys of this ancient land.

The equestrian enthusiast will find more than 30 fully accredited equestrian centres along the region offering a wide range of services and facilities. Additionally, the region boasts the best weather conditions in Ireland- by far, great value for money, and close proximity to Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Waterford Airports, and Rosslare Port.

Experience a wonderful holiday you’ll never forget in the South East - with the sunniest weather in Ireland, unique heritage, and a scenic landscape that is a natural playground for an activity holiday. A great family holiday destination, Ireland's South East offers cities and beaches, countryside and culture. Plan a trip to Waterford and Wexford's coast resorts and explore the attractions and sights of Kilkenny and Carlow.
